FFSN Privacy Policy

FFSN ("FFSN", "we", "us") is operated by VMEDIA LLC, doing business as FFSN. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the FFSN website and service (the "Service"), how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By using the Service you agree to the practices described here. Our Terms of Service also apply.

Not Affiliated with ESPN: FFSN is an independent service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or associated with ESPN, the NFL, or any fantasy league provider.

1. Information We Collect

Account information

When you sign up we collect your name and email address, and a unique account identifier. Sign-in is handled by our authentication provider (Clerk); if you sign in with a social account, we receive the profile fields that provider shares with us.

League data you import

To generate content for your league, a commissioner connects an ESPN fantasy football league. We import and store league settings, team names, manager display names, rosters, matchups, scores, standings, transactions, and draft results from ESPN for the current and prior seasons.

For private ESPN leagues, the commissioner provides two ESPN session cookies (espn_s2 and SWID) so we can read league data on their behalf. These are stored in our database and are used only to fetch league data from ESPN. They are never shown to other league members and are not used for any other purpose. A commissioner can revoke them by contacting us, and they stop working when the ESPN session expires.

Content you provide

League members may answer questions from our AI interviewer, post and reply on the league news feed, react to articles, and edit generated articles. Those responses, posts, reactions, and edits are stored, are visible to your league, and may be quoted in published articles for your league.

Purchases

When you buy a League Pass, a seat, or credits, we record what was bought, the amount, and the date so we can apply it to your league and honor our Refund Policy.

Payment information

Purchases are processed by Stripe. We receive the transaction identifier, amount, status, and the email associated with the payment. We do not receive or store full card numbers.

Usage information

We use Vercel Web Analytics, a cookieless, privacy-focused analytics tool, to count page views and understand which parts of the Service are used. Our hosting providers keep standard server logs (IP address, browser type, timestamps) for security and reliability.

Emails

We send transactional emails (for example, when the AI interviewer has a question for you or when a new article is published for your league) through SendGrid. You can turn email notifications off in your notification settings; the unsubscribe link in each email also works.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information above to:

• provide the Service, including importing your league and generating articles;
• generate AI-written content about your league (see Section 3);
• process payments and manage credits;
• send the notifications you have opted into;
• keep the Service secure and reliable, and prevent abuse;
• understand how the Service is used so we can improve it;
• comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

3. AI-Generated Content

FFSN articles are written by large language models. To generate an article we send relevant league data (team names, manager display names, rosters, scores, standings, transactions) and any interview responses you have provided to our AI providers, Anthropic and OpenAI (OpenAI is used only for banner images). These providers process the data to return the generated content and, under our agreements with them, do not use it to train their models. Generated articles are stored with your league and, once published, may be visible to anyone with the article link.

4. Who We Share Information With

We share information only with service providers that help us run FFSN, and only as needed for the purpose described:

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights or safety of FFSN or others, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case this policy will continue to apply to your information.

5. Public Articles

Published articles are readable by anyone who has the link, including people who are not signed in, so that league members can share them. Articles may include team names, manager display names, scores, and quotes from interview responses. Draft and unpublished articles are visible only to members of the league.

6. Data Retention

We keep your account and league data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account or ask us to, we delete or anonymize your personal information and your league's data within 30 days, except for records we must keep for legal, tax, or accounting reasons (such as payment records). Stored ESPN cookies are deleted when a league is removed.

7. Your Choices and Rights

• Notifications: turn email notifications on or off in your settings.
• Access and correction: contact us to see or correct the personal information we hold about you.
• Deletion: contact us to delete your account and associated data.
• Regional rights: depending on where you live (including California and the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland), you may have additional rights such as data portability or the right to object to certain processing. You can exercise them by contacting us; we will not discriminate against you for doing so.

To exercise any of these rights, email support@ffsn.ai from the address on your account.

8. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit, access controls, and hosting providers with independent security certifications. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you as required by law.

9. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. International Users

FFSN is operated in the United States and our providers store data in the United States. If you use the Service from elsewhere, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version here with a new "Last Updated" date and, for material changes, notify you by email or in the app.
